Which cookies this site uses, on what legal basis, and how to withdraw your consent at any time.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to make a site work correctly, to remember your choices and, in some cases, to collect statistics about how the site is used. Equivalent technologies, such as browser local storage, fall into the same category.
This policy explains which cookies tsegaslaw.gr uses, why, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy and does not replace it.
2. The principle we follow
No cookie beyond the strictly necessary is placed before you give consent. Until you choose, statistics cookies stay inactive. Refusing is as easy as accepting and does not restrict your access to any content.
The legal basis for strictly necessary cookies is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely. For every other category the legal basis is your consent alone, under Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006 and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They include the cookie recording your cookie choices, the language cookie remembering whether you read in Greek or English, and technical security cookies used when a form is submitted. They are not used for advertising and they do not build a profile.
3.2 Statistics
These help us understand which pages are read and where visitors arrive from, so that we can improve the content. We use Google Analytics. These cookies are activated only if you accept them.
3.3 Advertising
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not display advertising. We do not sell or otherwise disclose your data to advertising networks.
4. Third-party services
The site is hosted on infrastructure within the European Union. Fonts are served locally from our own server rather than loaded from an external service, so your IP address is not transmitted to a third party through ordinary browsing.
The map on the Contact page does not load automatically. It appears only after you click the placeholder; until then no connection to Google’s servers is made. By clicking it you accept Google’s terms and privacy policy.
Where you accept statistics cookies, data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area under the transfer mechanisms approved by the European Commission.
5. Changing your choices
You may withdraw or change your consent at any time, without having to give a reason, through the cookie settings link available in the footer of every page.
Independently of this, you can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site functions.
6. Retention
Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until you delete them. The record of your consent is retained for as long as is needed so that you are not asked again on every visit and so that we can demonstrate consent was given.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection in relation to data concerning you, as well as the right to data portability. Those rights, how to exercise them and our contact details are set out in full in our Privacy Policy.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1-3 Kifissias Avenue, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr).
8. Changes to this policy
This policy is updated whenever the cookies used by the site change. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of the page. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
